The production of medical non-woven fabrics involves sophisticated technologies that ensure the fabric meets the stringent quality standards required for medical applications. 
Spunbond Process: In this process, polymer fibers are extruded and stretched to form a continuous web. The resulting fabric is strong and durable.
Meltblown Process: This technique involves extruding a molten polymer through a fine nozzle to create ultra-fine fibers. These fibers are then deposited onto a collecting surface to form a web with exceptional filtration properties.
SMS Composite: By combining spunbond and meltblown layers, the SMS process creates a fabric with both strength and filtration efficiency, making it ideal for medical applications such as surgical gowns, face masks, and sterile packaging.
In addition to these traditional methods, advancements in non-woven technology have led to the development of multi-layer structures like SMMS and SMMMS, which offer even higher levels of protection and performance.

Medical non-woven fabrics find applications across a broad spectrum of healthcare settings. 
Surgical Gowns and Drapes: Their antibacterial and liquid-repellent properties make them ideal for protecting both patients and medical personnel during surgical procedures.
Face Masks and Respirators: The filtration efficiency of medical non-woven fabrics is crucial in preventing the spread of airborne pathogens. Modern medical masks often employ SMS or multi-layer structures for enhanced protection.
Sterile Packaging: These fabrics are commonly used for the final packaging of sterilized medical devices and instruments, ensuring they remain sterile until use.
Wound Care Products: Non-woven fabrics are also used in the production of wound dressings, bandages, and other wound care products due to their absorbency, breathability, and comfort.
Medical Wipes and Towels: Their softness, absorbency, and disposability make them ideal for cleaning and disinfection purposes in hospitals and clinics.
